Abstract
Objective : The interpretation of HBV markets in hepatitis B virus(HBV) associated hepatic diseases is very important in making decision for the diagnosis, progress, effect of treatment and prognosis. Recently applied HBV-DNA mazker seemed to be more informative beside the conventional serologic mazkers as HBsAg etc.

Methods : The ordinary and conventional serologic mazkers of HBsAg, anti-HBs, HbeAg, anti-HBe and anti-HBc(IgM and IgG) were examined by ELISA method. The qualitative and quantitative HBV-DNA were examined by polymetase chain reation(PCR) and Itrminometry respectively. The patient serum specimens were obtained from totally seventeen cases in January 1996.

Results : Negative HBV-DNA cases of the HBV-associated hepatic diseases showed also negative ~. HBsAg and HBeAg mostly. Chronic hepatitis cases revealed high correlation between HBeAg and HBV-DNA marker.

Conclusion : The qualitative and quantitative HBV-DNA appeared to be very useful to evaluate and interpret the states of various HBV-associated hepatic diseases. A trial on interpretation chart for HBV¢¥-associated hepatic disease with HBV-DNA was attempted.
